The role: Pivotal Software Engineering Manager – DLT Technology
As an Engineering Manager, you will assume full ownership of a software engineering team. Your primary mission is to ensure the successful delivery of product features and align your team with the strategic objectives of our product roadmap.
Team Leadership & Growth: Cultivate an environment of high performance, continuous growth, and strong team ownership.
Planning & Execution: Plan and coordinate complex technical projects in alignment with organizational priorities and software development best practices.
Technical Advocacy: Effectively represent and champion your team’s technical interests.
Performance Management: Actively support performance management and professional development processes.

Skills:
We are seeking a leader with a strong background in Engineering Management, complemented by a significant track record as a Senior Software Engineer or Tech Lead.
Management & Technical Expertise: Proven experience in managing a software engineering team and deep technical expertise (prior Senior Engineer/Lead experience is a must).
Distributed Systems Expertise: Clear and deep understanding of critical distributed software systems (e.g., consensus protocols, scalability, reliability).
Crucial Programming Language: Mandatory proficiency in the Rust programming language. Knowledge of other languages (e.g.,OcamL, Haskell, Go, C++) is a plus.
Best Practices: Solid knowledge of software engineering best practices (CI/CD, unit/integration testing, microservices architecture, etc.).
International Communication: Excellent written and oral communication skills in English (essential for our diverse and international team).
