Responsibilities

  • Monitor and interpret French legal acts and EU supervisory guidelines; serve as national compliance point of contact.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive compliance framework aligned with regulations and best practices.

  • Draft and oversee internal policies for digital financial services (licensing, AML/CFT, sanctions, fraud, risk management).

  • Manage compliance communications with French authorities and support group-level public authority relations.

  • Fulfill executive management compliance obligations for the French entity; act as designated correspondent for regulators.

  • Track legal/regulatory changes with strong focus on France and EU.

  • Assess and improve internal control and customer monitoring frameworks.

  • Conduct internal investigations and reviews; support internal/external audits; manage national-level audits.

  • Support reporting (internal/external), organize national reporting, and deliver compliance training.

Required Skills

  • Meets fit & proper standards for executive compliance leadership.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law from EEA/UK/Switzerland university (Master’s preferred).

  • 5+ years in compliance/regulatory roles in financial institutions, fintech, or digital financial services.

  • Managerial or executive-level compliance experience required.

  • Experience with French-regulated entities is a strong advantage.

  • Deep knowledge of EU & French financial/digital financial regulation and supervisory practices.

  • Strong AML/CTF, sanctions, fraud, and general risk management expertise.

  • Familiarity with upcoming EU regulatory changes and French legislation.

  • Proven ability to build and apply internal policies/procedures.

  • Excellent time management, organization, and communication (French & English).

  • Must reside in France.

Preferred Skills

  • Master’s degree in Law (preferred).

  • Prior experience in a company regulated by French authorities.

Qualifications
